Reaching fitness goals always seems to be a high priority for New Years Resolutions. We love when people have fitness goals and are ready to commit to an exercise program, but more often than not we see people start stong and fizzle out after 2-3 months. What are some ways that you can commit and stick with your new years resolution?
- Fun and effective workouts. Spice things up. Try something new. Step out of your comfort zone. Working out can sometimes feel like a chore and be unmotivating, especially when it takes time to get results.
- Join a positive and uplifting community. Working out with friends is always better. You can even make friends at the gym who will help hold you accountable.
- Find a nutrition plan that works for you. Nutrition is often times the quickest way to see results, but it can also be the most difficult if you don't even know where to start. Keep it simple and find foods that you enjoy eating that will benefit you.
- Get into a routine. Even when you don't want to, sometimes you have too. When you push through those days that you don't want to workout, it will only get easier.
- Keep it simple. Simple is always effective when it comes to fitness. No need to do some elaborate routine with difficult exercises. That is an easy way to get discouraged.
- Find your why. Why do you want to get in shape? Is it to feel better, to look better, fit into your clothes, more energy, keep up with your kids? Whenever you feel like quiting, think about your why and really visualize what that will feel like when you get there.
Make this year, the last fitness new years resolution you will have! See you in 2023!
